I like to look at pictures when I write. They give me inspiration for my story and the fact is, since I am writing about sex, they help get me in the mood.
I already knew I was planning to write a novel that centered around “human furniture” or “objectification”. So I began my research, and let me tell you it was super distracting. I would get stuck looking at all these images of people in various positions and poses that looked incredibly uncomfortable yet completely exhilarating.
One image, in particular, stuck with me and became a significant feature in my book, Carnal Reservations. The image posted here, of a beautiful woman who has been turned into an exotic, enormously lavish chandelier. I got lost imagining how she feels and how she could be used and pleasured in such a position. What is it like being objectified? Freeing? Degrading?
How would You feel? Would you ever in your life think of doing this?
As for me, well I think I might quite like it.
